Carrier PreSelect
On January 1st 2002 Carrier PreSelect was launched. This means that calls can automatically be routed over the carrier of choice without reprogramming your switch, adding autodiallers or having to remember to add digits at the start of the phone number.
Prior to CPS, firms with relatively small call spends or old telephone systems could find it uneconomic or technically difficult to change telecom carriers. Carrier Pre Select changes this.
